Product Details
Gooseberry beads are known to be made in Venice in the 1700s through the 1900s. They are made of heated, drawn, pinched and polished clear glass, and are known for their iconic white stripes toward the outer edge. These beads in specific were transported to Africa sometime in the 19th or 20th century. Gooseberry beads are becoming exceedingly difficult to find, especially in condition as good as these! You will receive a strand measuring approximately 26 inches in length. Beads measure approximately 1-5 x 5-7mm with a hole size of <1mm. We only have a few strands of these. Own a piece of history before it's too late!
