Take a look a this great medley of glass trade beads! These beads have been collected from various West African countries including Nigeria, Ghana, and Ivory Coasts. Each strand includes a unique mix of styles including beads both made in Europe for African trade as well as indigenously produced powder glass beads. Look carefully and you may see various colors of Czech prossers, Nigerian Olombo beads, Venetian cane beads, Padre beads, Russian Blue beads, Old Sandcast beads, and much more. Strands may also include recycled glass beads and Krobo beads patterned after classical trade bead designs. A number of strands are shown to illustrate the variation of the beads however each strand is sold individually. Each strand is a little different however you will receive a representative strand with each purchase. Due to the age of these beads, some beads may be chipped. Great as a collectible, a starter pack, or just to wear!

African Trade Beads

I was pleased to find trade beads on strands with different designs. Some I found were extremely costly and I would have to purchase an entire strand of the same bead. I loved the variety plus the price was reasonable. That allows me to price my bracelets at a price most buyers can afford. Thank you

A Really Nice Variety to Build on

These are beautiful beads. Smooth on both surface, and around the holes. I'm looking forward to working with these, now that I can see the colors (and the colors are very correct in the site photos, but all of our monitors are different) and decide the accessory beads I need. Match the ones I bought in Africa.

Absolutely beautiful beads. I purchased trade beads in a souq in Morocco, and wanted more. These are in the same family — the real deal. I would rather be traveling right now, but this brought a little bit of adventure home for a rest price and with great service.
