Colodonte beads are a type of pressed glass bead from present day Czech Republic. Also known as Bohemia, the eastern region of former Czechoslovakia, historically has been a major source of beads traded in West Africa. Colodonte beads such as these are found today in the West African country of Mali. Each vintage bead on this long strand measures approximately 16mm long by 12mm wide. Wear them 'as-is' or use in your jewelry designs!
