This is a beautiful strand of interlocking Czech beads made from glass and imported from Africa. These African beads are known as Snake beads because of their similarity to the snake vertebrae. They date back from the early 1900's. The beads have been molded and the strand nice antique rose color and makes great for spacers. Very often the strand may come with cobalt blue color beads which alternate with the rose beads which shows even more the interesting shape of these beads. The beads about 5mm wide by 6mm diameter. Shades of rose / pink may vary slightly for each strand and show some discoloration due to age. Some strands may contain up to approximately 15% other color beads.
