A beautiful strand of powder glass African beads, made by the people of Kroboland ( Ghana , West Africa ) , IMITATING old Venetian FANCY trade beads. The strand is over 27" long. The size of the beads is 10 mm in length. Made from bottles and other glass items that are turned into powder, then into molds in order to create this nice looking beads. Decorations on the beads are made with a paste made of colored glass powder and water, which is applied using a thin wooden stalk. They are cooked a second time to fix the decor. The beads are handmade.
